Why we exist:
Luke's gospel tells us that Jesus came "to give light to those who are sitting in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide us on the path of peace” (Luke 1:79, Common English Bible). Shilo Guidance Center's purpose for existence is to guide people on the path of peace. Specifically, Shilo Guidance Center focuses on family and parenting guidance. Let's face it, life is tough at times and it is not getting any easier. We are here to help you navigate the challenges of life through God's Word.
Who we are:
Pastors Tim and Debbie Bridgewater have been happily married for nearly 40 years. They raised eight children ( Seven boys and one girl). Nearly all of their children are married. They have nine grandchildren and expect that number to rise. Pastors Tim and Debbie led a church in the Treasure Valley for more than 25 years. During this period of time, they walked people through nearly every life experience imaginable. They are prepared to guide you on the path of peace.
What to expect:
This blog will offer regular insight into the challenges that families face. We strongly believe the Bible is sufficient to successfully guide people through life's difficulties. You can expect this blog to align Scripture with every day issues coming up with real solutions. Is your marriage struggling? Are your kids out of control? Do you live a life pretending? Are you avoiding reality in an effort to survive? How to handle aging parents? These and many other topics will be covered providing the guidance you need to live on the path of peace through all of life's blessings and burdens.
